I will be checking it most days.  Hope you are all having a great day.  Love Marie xxx 27.11.10 So the weekend is finally here, even though I work for myself from home in the studio i still feel different about Saturday and Sunday, why is that I wonder?  Somehow or another they are more special or perhaps it is hangover from the mad party days!  Oh and don’t forget to read the latest blog called “Signing of the contract”.  I hope it will amuse you. Wishing you all a fabulous weekend, with lots of wine, dance and song or maybe just a bit of peace and quiet. Lol Much Love Marie  xxx

28.11.10 Sunday sleep in! Oh how nice and then a long walk along the beach with the family and dogs.  Of course lots of work in the studio too, but done in a more relaxed fashion, its the weekend after all.  BBQ dinner with Sparkling Red and then the Australian movie Animal Kingdom (with Jacki Weaver, one of my favorite Australian actresses), which I have heard had great reviews.  Hope you are all having a great time too. Much Love Marie  xx (our waitress did not serve the noodles with her feet though I hasten to add)

30.11.10 Already Tuesday today and both today & yesterday I have been in the studio all day, as usual really.  Last night we did go out to dinner at a Vietnamese cafe (which was delicious) and then to the movies to see “RED” (starring Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren and Morgan Freeman) which we both enjoyed.  Although you have to be into the James Bond type of movie, and leave your disbelief at the door so to speak.  Hope your start of the week has been good. Love Marie xx

5.12.10 Hi there, Hope you are all having a lovely weekend.   My week has been a rather hectic one with two nights going out to the movies.   Our son Kai and his lovely girlfriend Sam invited us to see The Social network on Wednesday night,  I thought the movie was really good,  the others said “not bad”.  I guess I am interested in the Facebook phenomena as it directly relates to running a website these days. Which reminds me I should point out (I have been told) that something funny is happening for some of you when you join my website, it seems as each time you want to make a comment it asks you to join again!!  Sorry about that, we will talk to the website designers tomorrow and hopefully sort it out.  If you find anything else that bothers you please do not hesitate to let me know.  Always feel free to also join me on Facebook  on my page Naïve Art by Marie Jönsson-Harrison on Facebook you can then always make a comment or leave a message there. Enjoy your Sunday, Love Marie  xxx

Life is rushing past at such a speed I can hardly keep up!  This week we have been back and forth to Balaklava as the below mosaic seats were put into the new Sensory Garden at Balaklava Primary School.  We had to do some final checking and grouting after they were put in place and then off to my best friend Christinas birthday party at night.  Then back again the following day for the opening of the new garden to cut the ribbon at the ceremony.  So cute to see the children running round and round the garden squealing in delight. The rain nearly stopped the opening from going ahead, however it did stop the rest of the planned festivities and a lot of people were actually flooded out in the area which was really sad to hear about.  We ended up having dinner with good friends at the pub by candlelight as the power in the whole district was on the blink-thank god for cooking with gas! With a 4 hour round trip we certainly did a few miles in those two days.  Happy to be back in the studio although it seems to be one step forward and two steps back at the moment. I have been asked by a international website on Naive artists to find more Australian Naive artists- so if you are out there and reading this make yourself know to me.  You can do so either by email or through Facebook. Have a fantastic week everybody. Love Marie xx Click here to view blog post where you can view and make comments Click here for: News articles, magazines and other interesting stuff. 13.12.10

To all you Swedish people out there Happy Lucia,  I hope you get to eat lots of Lussekattor.  To the rest of the world of course I wish you a fantastic day.  I will do a blog on Lucia for next year but here is a brief synopsis. December 13 is the day that each town, school and even day care chose a girl (traditionally one with long blond hair) to bring light to the dark winters night.  Lucia wears a wreath on her head with candles in it, followed by a cast of boys and girls all dressed in white and the odd little santas helper.   They sing carols and then we have Celebratory treats all sorts of Swedish cookies including ginger snaps and of course Lussekattor (which have saffron in them and look like little cats with raisins for eyes.)  We eat this with coffee and of course glogg – for medicinal purposes to keep the cold at bay you understand. Sometimes I do miss Sweden and today is one of those days. Love Marie xxx

24.12.10 Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to you all, I hope you have the most wonderful and happy time all across the world.  Today is our Swedish celebration and tomorrow the Australian one which I will be posting a blog on soon.  Current blog is called “Can horses write ?” which may amuse you. Here is another wit and wisdom from Oscar Wilde – “There are only two tragedies in life;one is not getting what one wants, and the other is getting it.” Have a great day, Love Marie
